About SATTI Project

SATTI built in 2016 is a vessel in the Oil service / Platform segment. The vessel has callsign UNDH. Satti is the first platform built entirely in Kazakhstan. It was built over three years using the US technology at two shipyards. The rig is designed for drilling operations in the Caspian Sea at a depth of 80 meters.Kazakhstan’s KMG Drilling & Services and Azerbaijan’s Caspian Drilling Company signed an agreement on drilling wells with the Kazakh “Satti” jack-up rig in the Azerbaijani sector.

The Satti floating drilling unit was delivered to Baku in June 2019 under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev and Alik Aydarbayev, chairman of the Management Board of the KazMunayGas. The MoU provides for the upgrade of the Satti rig in Baku and its utilization in SOCAR`s projects in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
